Goal Provide services and supports to individuals and families experiencing health and safety needs to assist them in living successfully in the community.
Objective Assure that families who are experiencing economic jeopardy receive employment services to mitigate health and safety risks.

Service Description

Restoration Services are direct medical services provided to reduce or alleviate barriers to employment. These include medical assessment, treatment, glasses, prostheses (such as an artificial eye) and other medical services as needed.

 

Rehabilitation counselors and related staff in the seven district offices across the State plan and assess for these services with the blind, deaf/blind and visually impaired individuals.  Services are available to North Carolina residents with significant vision loss.
