Service Name State Laboratory Services - Testing, Training & Consultation Program Name Data Collection and Analysis
Goal Manage resources to provide effective and efficient delivery of services to North Carolinians.
Objective Assure that children and/or adults receive needed and effective health and safety services through data tracking, research and evaluation.

Service Description

This service provides more than 125 clinical tests and more than 65 environmental tests, as well as training and consultation, for the following groups:

-Local health departments.

-Hospitals.

-Commercial laboratories

-Private health care professionals

-Community-based organizations

-State and regional staff from the Division of Public Health and certain other state and regional agencies 
 

The aim is to enhance both patient health and effective disease control through this direct laboratory service. This benefits the general population of North Carolina.
