Service Description

Medical Eligibility Decisions-SSDI/SSI (Title II and Title XVI) is part of North Carolina’s Disability Determination Services (DDS). It makes decisions on disability claims for the Social Security Administration. The goal of the service is to make medical eligibility decisions as efficiently, quickly and accurately as possible.

 

This service benefits individuals applying for disability payments through Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI).
