Goal Provide outreach, support and services to individuals and families identified as being at risk of compromised health and safety to eliminate or reduce those risks.

Service Description

  

Farmworker medical and outreach services support agencies across the state that provide and link migrant and seasonal farmworkers with primary and preventive health services.  Rural health centers, public health departments, community health centers, and local nonprofits provide a range of medical, nursing, case management, and education services at clinics, farmworker camps, and farmworker residences. This service benefits migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families in North Carolina.

Competitive Bidding Details Requests for applications are posted on the ORH website and distributed to current grantees and partner agencies. Applicants submit applications that include an annual budget, past performance if applicable, proposed plan, performance measures and signed assurances agreeing to comply with program expectations and requirements. The program's Co-Applicant Governing Board serves as the review committee that evaluates the applications, makes funding recommendations and identifies conditions and recommendations.
