Service Name Clinics Program Name At-Risk Family Health and Safety Benefits
Goal Provide outreach, support and services to individuals and families identified as being at risk of compromised health and safety to eliminate or reduce those risks.
Objective Assure that families at risk of economic challenges receive health and safety benefits to mitigate those risks.

Service Description

Clinic services include screening, diagnosis and treatment services provided in free standing clinics, dialysis centers, health departments, Federally Qualified Health Centers and Rural Health Centers.  This includes a wide array of services such as physician visits, diagnostic tests, screening tests, medical procedures, injectable drugs, vaccinations, renal dialysis, prevention services, family planning, rehabilitative services, etc.

 

Clinic services are optional in all settings except for Federally Qualified Health Centers and Rural Health Centers.  Medicaid's Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) program requires that states offer these services, if medically necessary, to children up to age 21.
