Service Description

Overseeing ambulatory (outpatient) surgery centers is one of the services provided as part of the regulatory process of Health Service Regulation. Staff activities include:

  • Conducting initial, follow-up and recertification surveys and investigating complaints to monitor providers' compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Conducting on-site Medicare certification surveys to qualify providers to participate in federal Medicare program.

This service protects the health and safety of people using ambulatory surgery centers.
