Service Description

Overseeing adult care and family care home administrators is one of the services of the Unlicensed Health Care Personnel Oversight program. Staff activities include:

  • Administering written tests to potential administrators (at no charge to the applicant).
  • Reviewing credentials to qualify individuals as administrators of family care homes (two to six beds); certifying individuals as administrators of adult care homes (seven or more beds).
  • Reviewing continuing education credits every two years to renew administrators' certificates.

This service protects residents of family care and adult care homes.
